Piercey’s Golf Day

Craig Pierce was one of Sharks best ever players and Clubmen. He started with his beloved Drayton Sharks Touch Club as a 14 year old in the D Men’s side, and went on to represent Queensland (Secondary Schools) and Australia (Junior) in 1985. Craig was inducted into the Touch Football Australia Hall of Fame not long before he passed (2003), his Hall of Fame description reads: “Craig will always be remembered as a character of Australian Touch Football and will be held close to the hearts of many. Craig was one of Australia’s most capped representatives and showed determination and leadership, as well as a fighting spirit that encouraged many people around him.”

The Memorial Golf Day is an Annual event held in Craig’s honour. This year’s Golf Day marks the 10th Anniversary of Craig’s passing. The day tees off at 12:00pm, Sunday 20 October at the Middle Ridge Golf Club. Please contact Scooter if you’re interested in playing (or us – and we’ll pass it on!)
