All Stars Weekly Wrap-up – 4 December 2015

U10 Great Whites

newsXpress on westThe team started off well in both our attack and remained focused on the defence line throughout the first half. At half time the score was 4 / 2 in our favour. The team talk on field has come a long way since the early games and this has contributed to the first half games results to date. Welcome back Nic! Good to have you aboard – some fine runs around the defence line, was great to watch… Just remember burger hands. Congratulations to Sam in holding her own against the bigger boys in defence, no one got through and she was able to slip in a few good runs as well. Zac is running with the ball and is watching the attacking players well _ U Go Champ. James (Jim) continues to improve within his own game and has enjoyed the season to date. Well Done. Jaiden found a new level of self-confidence, which was reflected in Friday night’s game _ Keep these good runs up. Well Done Leigh, Matthew and Reilly on your tireless efforts in defence and your cross attacks. Just remember working in a group provides the greater results, the overall structure and team-man-ship is still there, keep up the great effort teamsters… Well Done on your own personal contributions, the overall developed skills shown to date are evidence in the team outcomes week in and week out. When working together as a unit, things will just flow.

Merry Xmas, stay safe and have a happy New Year!

I would like to thank each and every parent for allowing me to have your boys over the first half of the season. It has been both rewarding and enjoyable as a coach. The boys are full of heart in all they do, as a team they are very spirited and support each other well. I have seen many changes in each member of the team, this is the REWARD for me as a coach _ their self-development and skills have grown to new levels.

U12 Silky Sharks

Enwise Electrical and RefigerationThe silky sharks have hit off the season with a bang and are really starting to work well as a team. The team is a great mix of younger under 11s with u12 girls. The girls have been very consistent with their effort and it is tremendous to see it starting to pay off when implementing game plans into the match. Basic touch concepts are beginning to be understood and utilised.

Sophie leads with her great footwork and speed whilst Ava and Ella marshall and direct the team around the park. Other standouts have been Maya, Olivia, Jasmine and Amy particularly in defence. Last week saw our first full length runaway intercept try, well done Bella. Keep up the great work girls. Go Silky sharks!

U12 Angels

Crackerjack ChickenThe Angels played second placed Glennie and won in a close entertaining game despite only having one sub. The girls practice defence at training and this has helped them in close games like this one.  Izzy R, Molly and COurtney worked hard in the middle all game while Elsbeth and Izzy N improve every week.Savannah and Lucy were also hard to contain when they had space.

Have a good holiday everyone and see you next year!

U12 Sharks

The boys continued their undefeated run with a comfortable win against second places Rebels despite only having one sub on Friday night. Rebels came out strong but were no match for the impressive Sharks who lifted to another level. Nathan, Joe and Mitchell showed safe hands and speed to score tries out wide. Luke, Riley, Dougal and Tyson had great games in the middle.

Well done team – see you next year!
